​  "CONNECTING TO SPACE" SOLO EXHIBITION   MARCH 22

"Connecting to Space" is an exploration of relationships, those of place, space, people, and nature. It is about connecting to my new home Geelong and all the ups and downs in the time of a pandemic. It is about trying to find meaning and making a fresh start after years of inactivity due to mental health issues. About trying to find a space that feels like home, the challenges of finding & settling in with the new, and the joys that come along too. It is also about trying to re-connect with myself and what that means as an artist.I like to make joins or links between the shapes in my art, creating relationships between various sections, akin to a weblike structure, where all parts are connected. The symbols or images I work with are influenced by Mid Century and Scandinavian design, something close to my heart, being a native of Norway. ​
